MATR is an acronym for
- Measures of
- Affect
- Theoretically
- Relative
Affect is another term for body language. As professionals we measure your
affect as a means of assessing what needs you have. "Theoretically Relative"
means that we cannot adequately assess your affect until we get to know you.
The name MATR is a simple way of stating our recognition that each person is an
individual and not to be treated as a diagnosis.
What We Do:
MATR provides Residential services for those struggling with substance abuse.
We have a comprehensive program tailored to each client's individual needs. We
work to maintain on-going contact with our clients once they have left the
Intensive Residential portion. Though some clients will only remain for 30 days,
our preference is a minimum of 90 days on the Intensive Residential level. Once a
client has successfully completed 90 or 120 days of Intensive Residential
requirements, we then offer a Sober Living status which allows clients to find work
in the community or attend Snow College in nearby Ephraim.
