"Sometimes we need one more chance than we deserve." --Barney Dye

" An ugly truth is better than a beautiful lie" - Janey Marvin

Our Goal:
Our aim is to treat all people with the care, compassion and respect befitting their dignity as
human beings.
We specialize in working with people
dealing with  the effects of  Substance
Abuse and other life problems which
detract from experiencing life as they
truly desire it to be .
Cognitive Dissonance occurs when
there is lack of congruency within us. It
is evident when we experience
emotions such as anger, anxiety and
depression. As Human Beings, we
naturally seek homeostasis. This
naturally leads to Confirmation Bias and
Self Justification. As we act with
Confirmation Bias and Self Justification,
we unwittingly continue our
incongruency which leads to greater
cognitive dissonance and therefore
greater dis-satisfaction in our lives.
MATR works to help individuals
recognize their dissonance and
thereafter, make the necessary changes
in order to experience greater health.
We teach laws such as the Law of
Attraction as shown in the movie The
Secret. We teach concepts such as
those found in the movie, What the
Bleep.
We are committed to offering you the
highest quality of service
MATR was incorporated in 1993 by Linda
Dimmick and Janey Marvin
When a client remains at our treatment
facility for 90 days or more the success
rate increases to 93%!
Change is individual. The healing comes
from the inside. The only person who
controls that change is YOU. Therefore,
the length of stay and the healing and
change which occurs is determined by
YOU!
MATR is an acronym for

Affect is another term for body language. As professionals we measure your
affect as a means of assessing what needs you have.
 "Theoretically Relative"
means that we cannot adequately assess your affect until we become familiar
with  you. The name
MATR is a simple way of stating our recognition that each
person is an individual and is not to be treated as a diagnosis.
What We Do:

MATR provides in-patient services for those struggling with substance abuse. We offer a
comprehensive program tailored to each client's individual needs. MATR seeks to provide a
positive and uplifting atmosphere with a curriculum which focuses on assisting our clients to
understand themselves and to learn methods of healing, growing and self mastery.  MATR has a
sister company, LandJ Media, which offers workshops and trainings using the materials which are
taught to MATR's clients.

MATR determines the proposed length of stay through a process of assessments while
also becoming acquainted with the individual.
The final determination depends on the
client's actual progress toward the assessed needs and goals.
 Rarely are individuals able
to change, heal and gain adequate self mastery while also developing a strong enough support
system to be able to complete treatment in 30 days. Many clients remain for
90 days with some
requiring
120-180 days. Some clients also opt to remain at MATR on a Sober Living status once
Intensive services have been completed, allowing for the development of  even greater self
mastery and a stronger and more complex support system.
